The game is played between two hands, the banker hand and the player hand. Both the hands receive 2 cards each and can have an extra card. The main objective of the players is to have a hand total that is the nearest to the target total. The cards having a value of 10 and also the three face cards that are kings, queens and jacks, have no value.
One must add the values of all the cards in the hand to get the total value. If the total value exceeds 10, the second digit is considered as the final value and the left digit is disregarded. For example, if one gets a total value of 12, only the right digit i.e. 2 is considered to be the total value.
If the total value of two cards of a player comes to 9, then it wins and is considered natural. When both the hands are natural, the one having a higher value wins but both the hands having the same value is considered a tie.

The Dragon bet must be made before the cards are dealt. It is an optional wager and the player must first make a wager on either the player or the banker. In Follow the Shoe strategy you first observe the pattern of winnings and choose to place your bet on the last win.
